Trip Details

Location: Lincoln and Russell Counties, Kansas

Time: 11:00 a.m. thru 7:00 p.m.

Herpers: Chad Whitney, Jim Scharosch

We worked some areas in Lincoln county, temps were in the sixties, with a partly cloudy sky. Not a lot of stuff was out. A lot of the snakes found were going into shed.

Here is a yound Speckled King (Lampropeltis getula holbrooki)

Central Plains Milksnakes (Lampropeltis triangulum gentilis)

Later in the day, we went to a spot in Russell county. We turned up a two racers, which I didn't photograph, and this nice sub-adult milksnake

The temperatures dropped like a rock again after this point and we didn't find anything else.
