Thought of the Day: A double shot of Milk.
Most often I get out later in the day, after work, so it was nice to get out on a Sunday morning. It was already getting muggy, but the sun had not come up enough to get things really hot quite yet. I hit a spot with some metal debris in a field and turned up a double, two Milk Snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum) under a single piece of cover. One was about twenty-six inches and had a brownish coloration.
The other was just over twenty inches long and was a nice brick red color.
That was all I found. It started to get hot quick, but at least I found something.
Summer is fast approaching. Happy herping!
