Thought of the Day: After work adventure

I got off work and decided to head out and see what I could find. It had been warm that day, and indeed was a warm evening, but I wanted to get out and do some walking anyway.

My first find was a Milk Snake (Lampropeltis triangulum) under a piece of metal

It was partly shed when I found it. It took a bit to get pictures at first because my camera was still cool from the AC in the car and the lens kept fogging up. This one was about fifteen inches.

A little bit later I found a Racer (Coluber constrictor) about twenty inches long.

It was a little beat up on the left side of its head and the tail was a little nipped off, but other than that it seemed pretty healthy.

That was it, but for not expecting much it turned out alright!

Happy after work herpin!
