After band practice I was outside as the guys were loading some stuff into the car. It had been raining and it was cool and a little windy. I checked around the driveway to see if there were any toads hopping around, and right up against the garage door there was a Tiger Salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum).

Since I don't see them very often, I kept it overnight so I could take some pictures. I turned it loose the next evening under my back porch. It's always fun to see herps in the yard, especially when they are as cool as this one!
