I will keep this short. I went back to my normal first spot of the year to kick this season off. It was a nice warm day so I thought I would see if anyone was out. I turned up three Eastern Garter Snakes (Thamnophis sirtalis).

The first was about fourteen inches long.

The second had more red on the sides and was a couple of inches longer.

The third was a last year's baby.

That's it. Nothing exciting like last year, but the season is underway!!
